There’s nothing like a homemade Peppermint Mocha Latte as soon as the weather cools down. This twist on a cafe classic combines espresso with real Peppermint flavor, chocolate syrup, and creamy, frothy milk. This comfort in a cup is the ideal holiday sip to complete your festive morning.

RECIPE
ADD GROUNDS TO AEROPRESS
Set aeropress up for inverted method & put grounds in.
SATURATE GROUNDS
Start a timer for 1 minute, pour hot water quickly over grounds & using a spoon, stir grounds to evenly saturate everything.
PLACE FILTER & CAP
Put the metal filter in Aeropress filter cap - using a metal filter allows more oils to come through in the cup for a fuller bodied coffee that is closer to a true espresso!
STRAIN COFFEE INTO MUG
At the 1 minute mark, place mug on top of aeropress, flip over & immediately press down.
ADD FLAVORS TO COFFEE
Add 1/2 oz of peppermint syrup & 1 oz of chocolate sauce to the mug of coffee.
ADD MILK & GARNISH
Steam & pour milk into the mug, then a candy cane garnish! You can crumble it up and stick to the sides of the mug with chocolate sauce.
TIPS & VARIATIONS
- Have any leftover candy canes? Unwrap, put in a pot with a bit of water, and reduce to make peppermint a delicious syrup.
- Add a few drops of peppermint extract to your homemade chocolate sauce.
- Add peppermint and mocha to your drip coffee.
- Add the peppermint syrup to some milk and use a frother for peppermint cold foam.
HOW TO MAKE A PEPPERMINT MOCHA ESPRESSO MARTINI
- Add coffee, 1/2 oz peppermint syrup, 2oz vodka, 1oz coffee liqueur to a shaker
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake
- Drizzle chocolate alongside a chilled martini glass, strain into glass

What is in a peppermint mocha latte? The ingredients of most peppermint mocha lattes include coffee or espresso, peppermint flavoring, chocolate sauce, and milk of your choice!
Does a peppermint mocha latte have caffeine? Yes! However, if you don't want caffeine in your peppermint mocha, you can use decaf coffee.
What if I don't have an Aeropress? Aeropress was our preferred method for this but any espresso brewer will do!
Any other coffee that would work for this? We recommend a medium roast like Nizza or Winterland but any coffee will do so try your favorites!
